Nigerian man recounts how he was bullied by some SARS officials

Following series of complaints made by Nigerians against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the officials do not seem to be affected by them. A Nigerian man on Twitter recently narrated his ordeal at the hands of some SARS officials. The man identified as @davidfakman said he was harassed by the officials. In his post, he recounted how he was stopped by some of the officials and was made to open a bag he was carrying, which they believed contains a laptop. He continued that he tried defending himself but was slapped by some of the officials. In recent times, lots of complains have been made about the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in Nigeria. Some have claimed that the officials take it upon themselves to arrest anybody without running proper check on them. A young lady identified as @Tamaradenyefar on Twitter has joined other online users in narrating her own FSARS experience. According to her post, the young lady disclosed that she harassed for wearing bum shorts. It did not end there but she further added that, after checking their car and found nothing the officers asked why she was dressed indecently. Drama as pastor's wife kidnaps herself and demands N4.6m as ransom from husband

Miriam Kusuubira lied to her husband Pastor Shadrach Kusuubira she was abducted - Her captors demanded KSh 1.3 million which is N4.6m from the unsuspecting man of God - Disturbed by the news, the pastor decided to report the matter to police for help who later uncovered the real story Police have arrested a woman who lied to her husband that she had been kidnapped in attempts to extort money from the unsuspecting husband. He died at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos. According to Punch, the deceased collapsed at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport on Saturday, June 9, while waiting to board a flight to the United States (US). However, sources close to him further revealed that Kimono was immediately rushed to an unnamed hospital in Ikeja and then taken to another hospital on Lagos Island where he later died on Sunday morning. The death of the artiste, who was a native of Onicha Olona in the Aniocha north local government area of Delta state, was confirmed by the president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Pretty Okafor and the Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji. Another former governor accused of fraud knows fate today

A Federal Capital Territory High Court will on Tuesday deliver judgement in an alleged case of fraud brought against former Plateau State governor, Joshua Dariye. Mr Dariye is accused of diverting N1.162 billion from the state’s treasury while he served as governor. He was first elected governor of the state in 1999 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. He was re-elected in 2003, but later impeached by the State’s house of assembly in November, 2006. Following judgements of the Appeal and Supreme Courts nullifying his impeachment however, Mr Dariye was ordered to complete his tenure in 2007.  The prosecution, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, arraigned the defendant on a 21-count for the alleged offence shortly after the expiration of his tenure in May 2007. Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector Rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector, has said the death of his father last year changed many things about him. Recall that in 2014, the rapper had a feud with his former record company, YSG Entertainment, which ended in court. For a year, he was not able to do music. In an encounter with   Sunday Scoop , Vector admitted that he mismanaged information during his feud with the record company and he paid for it.
