A video of a man stating that University students of the opposite sex caught holding hands will be flogged, has gone viral.  According to Twitter users, the announcement was made by a staff of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD). OPC leader and the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, has raised the alarm over the alleged secret recruitment of private individuals to form state security outfits.   He accused some governors of the Southwest states of politicizing the issue of security of lives and property in the region and alleged that some governors are training their personal aides as special forces.   Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State on Wednesday, October 30th, Adams condemned such training by some governors in the South-West without the knowledge of the inspector general of police or himself as the chief security of Yorubaland and leader of Oodua People's Congress.   Describing the activities of the governors as unacceptable, Adams said he would not answer them if any security threat arose in Yorubaland. At least 65 people have died and many more are injured in Pakistan after a packed passenger train blew up and burst into flames. The train erupted in a fireball after a gas canister being used to cook food exploded. The fire destroyed three of the train’s carriages near the town of Rahim Yar Khan in the south of Punjab province.   Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told Geo TV: "Two cooking stoves blew up. They were cooking, they had (cooking) oil which added fuel to fire. He added: "Most deaths occurred from people jumping off the train."   Officials have said many more people are injured, some in a critical condition. Punjab health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid told AFP that more than 40 injured people were being transported to local hospitals. Authorities have warned the death toll could still rise, with the military drafted in to help rescue efforts.   People sneaking stoves onto trains in order to prepare meals on long journeys i...

A video which has gone viral on social media, captured an armed robbery attack which went wrong at La Gratitude Circle in Lonehill Sandton, South Africa.  The viral video captured moment some thugs in a white Mercedes Benz pulled up on two white guys they wanted to rob. A Facebook group Nationwide Crime SA, disclosed that the men in the Benz followed the man when he was on his bike with his dog from Village Church. The robbery however took a different turn after the man the robbers tried to rob pulled a gun on them and started firing, making them flee the scene almost immediately.  “The boom slowed them down. As I got home, I put my bike in my car port, park my truck inside. A Nigerian writer has narrated how she was duped by a fake real estate agent and how God compensated her eventually. @anafrricandiva revealed that in 2009 she made an initial deposit of N150, 000 to an agent for a mini flat, only to later discover that she had been scammed and the house had been rented out to dozens of other people too. She said she developed malaria immediately.  The Anambra State Police command has rescued two children who were abducted in Gombe State and trafficked to the state. Three suspects; Patience Opia from Cross River, Ejece Obi, from Anambra State and Blessings John from Bauchi State linked to the abduction which occurred while the children were playing in their parents' compound, were also paraded by the Anambra State Police Command.  The State's Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed said the suspects planned selling each of the children for N750k before being nabbed. The principal suspect, Blessings John reportedly claimed that she was the biological mother of one of the children while the other one belonged to her late sister.   It was however gathered that the kids recognized who their parents were after they turned up at the police station.
