Gospel singer, Darrel Walls deletes Instagram after video of him kissing his 'boyfriend' leaks online (Video)

Darrel Walls, a member of popular gospel quartet The Walls Group, has deleted his Instagram page after a video of him kissing a man believed to be his boyfriend leaked online.  According to Lovebscott.com, the 29-year-old singer initially shared the video to his close friends list on Instagram. Former Presidential candidate, Kingsley Moghalu has lashed out at the Buhari-led adminstration over the killing of 43 farmers by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state. In tweets he shared, the economist expressed fear of Nigeria becoming a failed state. Gunmen abduct lady on her way to church in Port Harcourt

Death toll in attack in Kaduna community rises as troops arrest two more suspects

The death toll in the attack carried out in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State in the early hours of Sunday November 29, has risen as confirmed by the state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.  LIB reported earlier that Samuel Aruwan confirmed the death of 7 people in the attack on Sunday morning.  However in a statement released on Sunday evening, Aruwan disclosed that another victim identified as Abubakar Alhassan was found in his hut at Kussom village, unconscious and with bruises. He was later confirmed dead by doctors when he was rushed to Kowa Medical Center in Jagindi Town for treatment. Two children identified as Usman Wada and Didi Hudi, who were earlier declared missing have also been rescued from the forest. The statement read;  “The military has handed over the corpse to the police for further investigation. “Similarly, the military received a distress call from a communit...

Nigerian Defence Headquarters' Director of Information, Maj. Gen. John Eneche has countered the United Nations' claim of 110 people being killed over the weekend in Borno.  LIB reported earlier that United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon said no fewer than 110 farmers were killed in Saturday, November 28 attack on rice farms in Zabarmari community in Borno state. Reacting to this in an interview on Channels Television today November 30, Eneche stated that what the military have so far counted with the locals is 43 bodies. Benue varsity Associate Professor stabbed to death by unknown armed men

A lecturer with the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (UAM)  Karl Kwaghger, was brutally murdered by unknown armed men on Saturday, November 28. Kwaghger, an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering department, was found in a pool of his blood at the premises of the JS Tarka Foundation in the Benue state capital. It was gathered that the deceased was cornered to a dark side of the street by four men around 9:30pm opposite IBB square. The assailants hit him on the head with a hard object, then stabbed him severally and slit his throat.  The killers reportedly made away with his Avenza car and mobile phones.  The spokesperson of the police command in Benue state, Catherine Anne, who confirmed the incident said the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary while investigations are ongoing.  The Head, Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit of the institution, Mrs Rosemary Waku, confirmed the murder but sa...

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has reacted to the calls for restructuring which was recently reignited by the Governors in the South-South region he comes from.  The former Governor of Rivers state who spoke in an interview on Channels Television stated that while the calls for restructuring of the country may not be bad, however tackling hunger and poverty is more critical to the federal government.  Amaechi said;  “If to you what is important is restructuring, I don’t see anything wrong with restructuring but I am saying it is not the most critical problem we have. “The most critical problem we have is that hunger and poverty are breeding insecurity.“If you are able to create employment, you create security. Zabarmari massacre: Governors question security architecture after 43 farmers were killed by Boko Haram insurgents

Hoodlums attack Lagos State firefighters, destroy engine

Venerable Adeniyi Oluwabiyi, the minister-in-charge and head of District 4, Holy Flock of Christ Church in Ibadan, Oyo State, has explained why clapping and dancing is not allowed in the church. He also explained why collection of offering is not allowed in the church. Oluwabiyi, in an interview with Tribune, acknowledged that there are similarities between his church, the Anglican Church and Cherubim & Seraphim Church. A man has been charged with murdering US rapper 21 Savage's half-brother in south London. Terrell Davis, who performed as TM1way, was stabbed to death in Ramilles Close in Brixton Hill, south London on November 22. Davis was reportedly taking some shopping to his grandmother when he got into an argument with an old friend, who suddenly lunged forward and stabbed him, a family source said. He was found suffering from a stab wound just before 6pm last night. Suspected kidnapper nabbed after boarding a vehicle owned by one of his victims

A suspected kidnapper, pictured above, has been nabbed after mistakenly boarding a commercial vehicle owned by one of his victims in Sokoto state. The driver who was kidnapped along Kankara in Katsina state while returning from Kano about two months ago, reportedly spent three weeks in captivity and was released after paying an undisclosed amount of money as ransom. Daily Trust reported that the suspect was recognised by the victim when he boarded his vehicle on his way to Kano state. A National Union of Road Transport Worker (NURTW) member said;  “The driver was quick to identify him because the incident happened not too long ago. “After identifying him, he alerted our leaders who in turned informed the nearest police outpost.” It was learnt that the driver was asked to move towards Kwannawa motor park in Dange-Shuni local government area of the state, where the car was blocked by police. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested seven suspected members of Eiye Confraternity at Agura area, Ikorodu, Lagos state. A statement released by the command's spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, says police operatives attached to Imota Division arrested the suspects on Saturday 28th November 2020 at 2pm. Adejobi gave the names of the suspected cultists as Abolaji Arbayo, Josiah Offem, Oluwapelumi Oyeyinka, Limidi Taofeeq, Ahmed Shittu who drives their operational vehicle, Zainab Nurudeen who serves as the armourer who sources for the guns to operate, and Rabiu Ganiyu. He mentioned that the suspected cultists attacked members of the vigilante in their area, inflicting degrees of injury on them just to avenge the arrest of one of their members by the “Agbekoya” group. Items recovered from them included machetes and some charms, one green paragon bus with Reg No LAGOS APP 600 XA that was used by the suspects for their operations. ...

83 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Nigeria

82 new cases of COVID19 were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, November 29. According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 48 new cases, the highest for the day. Other states with new cases include Rivers-8, Kwara-6, Yobe-6, Katsina-5, FCT-3, Nasarawa-2, Plateau-1, Ogun-1, Kano-1, and Osun-1. Nigeria now has 67,412 confirmed new cases. 63,055 patients have been discharged so far with 1,173 deaths recorded. See a breakdown of the number of cases per states below. There is no way I can spend a month without spending three or four days in Yobe state — Governor Mai Mala Buni replies critics who accused him of abandoning state

Governor Mai Mala Buni has fired back at his critics who have accused him of being largely absent from the state since he took over as the caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Yobe State Governor in an interview with BBC, stated that he has been discharging his duties effectively even when he is not in the state. Buni added that he has spent at least three days in a month in the state. He said;  “On the issue of staying, there is no way I can spend a month without spending three or four days in Yobe state. And then even if I return to Yobe, I won’t advertise or make it public that today I will be in Yobe and tomorrow I will be leaving. “Wait, Let me land, listen to me, I won’t be revealing to the public that I came to Yobe or when I am leaving.
