A Nigerian man faked not being able to pay the bills after he took his girlfriend out on a dinner date. As the man was been dragged away, his girlfriend was trying to intercede on his behalf, suggesting they were given the wrong bill. While the embarrassing drama was unfolding, the man went on one knee to propose to the beautiful young lady. At that moment, in a state of shock and self consciousness, the lady realized it was all a stunt. She also said YES to the proposal. Watch video below.

Gov. Fayemi unveils rebranded Ekiti United FC

Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on Tuesday unveiled the rebranded state-owned Ekiti United Football Club with a charge to the people of the state to support the team to greatness. Reports have it that the official unveiling of the football club took place at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti. Fayemi pledged that his administration would support the club with funds, manpower and materials to succeed in the national league. The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, said his administration was ready to empower the youth by investing in sports and human capital development. According to Fayemi, the sports industry is big enough and has the capacity to provide careers for the young generation. Election: NYSC vows not to use corps members in Idemili, Ogbaru

Corps members The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra has insisted that corps members will not be posted for election duty in Idemili and Ogbaru areas of the state on March 9. Mr Kehinde Aremu, State Coordinator of the corps disclosed this in Awka on Tuesday. Brig.-Gen. Sulaiman Kazaure, D-G of the corps, had after the presidential election barred corps members from being used as election officials in volatile areas in order not to further endanger their lives. NAN reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is billed to return to the field again to conduct the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections across 27 out of the 36 states in the country. The commission will also conduct election in the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). A man, Felix Obisike, from Nsulu village in Isiala-Ngwa North LGA, of Abia State has been caught with already-written presidential and senatorial results sheets from the three senatorial zones in the state. Obisike was caught around the Methodist Church area in Umuahia, following information given to some political party officials, near the All Progressives Congress (APC) office. Two other men who were with him at the time, whose names were given as Gaius and Chinedu, disappeared and are now being trailed by security operatives in the state. Obisike who claimed to be a beneficiary of N-Power, a Federal government empowerment programme, said that he works with the focal person of the programme, Chinenye Nwogu. He had several other documents in his bag, including the letter head of the office of the Executive Governor of Abia State as well as already-prepared results of the presidential and senatorial elections from the three senatorial zones in the state.
