US plans $5m aid for 225,000 flood victims

The United States, through the US Agency for International Development, is providing $5m in humanitarian assistance to support people affected by flooding in Nigeria. USAID had initially supported Nigeria with $1m in life-saving aid following the devastating floods. The PUNCH reports that earlier this year, more than 4.4 million Nigerians nationwide were affected by flooding.
