Edo State Deputy Governor and governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2024 governorship election in the state, Philip Shaibu, has expressed confidence that the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, will support him in his ambition of becoming the governor. The Independent National Electoral Commission had fixed September 21, 2024, as the election date.
